Corey J.M. Williams, Ph.D.
Welcome!
Welcome to my academic website! My name is Corey Williams, and I am currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Broadly speaking, my research interests lie primarily in the space of applied macroeconomics and applied econometrics. These specializations notwithstanding, I have a varied research agenda with solo and coauthored projects reaching into spaces like industrial organization, and sports economics.
Prior to my current appointment, I worked as a graduate research assistant at West Virginia University while working towards my doctorate with graduate intern experience at KeyBank in their Credit Risk Modeling and Strategic Analytics group. Going farther back, I also worked for United Technologies Corporation (now Raytheon Technologies Corporation) on their Operations Leadership Program (OLP). For a little over a year, I worked two rotations at business units under the UTC umbrella, specifically Pratt & Whitney and Otis Worldwide. My roles were primarily in supply chain management and business development. In addition, I was a supply chain intern for a combined nine months at GE Aviation in Cincinnati, Ohio during the summers of my undergraduate years.
I have a Ph.D. and MA in Economics from WVU (2023, and 2021, respectively) and a BS in Global Supply Chain Management from Clarkson University (2018).
